The Emilia Romagna Region has always invested on the system of public research to stimulate technology transfer, involving universities and research centers, with the aim to enhance their collaboration with the production system. The High Technology Network was created to promote the transformation of the production systems, of districts and supply chains, towards a greater technological dynamism and commitment in research and development.
At present, this Network is formed by 10 technopoles, 81 laboratories of industrial research and 14 innovation centers, which have been officially recognized by the Region. The technopoles have been created, coherently with Axis 1 of ERDF ROP, with a function of aggregation of the research structures of the area, set in 6 thematic platforms: agro-food, building and construction, energy and sustainability, culture and creativity, health and well-being, innovation in services, and mechanics and motors.
The official recognition of the structures of industrial research and technology transfer is the instrument of qualification through which the Region aims at characterizing the membership in the High Technology Network of Emilia Romagna, promoting the habit to reply in a professional way to the needs of external requests, represented by the regional companies and other subjects, both public and private, needing external support for research and innovation.
CNA Emilia Romagna, through its Center for Innovation, CNA Innovazione, takes an active part within the High Technology Network.
